SENSORY-FRIENDLY SCREENINGS

THE INITIATIVE

Cinema City together with z Autypilot - podróże w świat dzieci z autyzmem and Fundacja Pomoc Autyzm are co-organizers of the program: "KINO PRZYJAZNE SENSORYCZNIE" ("SENSORY-FRIENDLY CINEMA").

Since January 27, 2018, Cinema City, as a partner of the initiative, has opened its theaters for special periodic screenings that will allow children and parents, as well as youth and adults with autism, to enjoy cinematic entertainment. Sensory-friendly movie screenings, which take into account the specific difficulties of people on the autism spectrum, are a great way to enjoy cultural offerings.

SENSORY-FRIENDLY SCREENINGS

We want everyone to feel comfortable at Cinema City, so we offer the option of sensory-friendly screenings by providing the right conditions in the screening room:

• This is a morning show at a quiet time.
• The lights are dimmed.
• The sound is quieter than usual.
• There is no rule of total silence in the audience.
• The screening room is partially filled.
• There is no entrance fee for caregivers.

At the school of magical animals is never boring! Ida's class welcomes new animals: an unruly penguin and a helpful but shy chameleon. On the occasion of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the school's founding, the students want to prepare a performance telling the story of the school's beginnings. Unfortunately, not everything goes colorfully for them. The headmaster of the school has his own idea about the story of the show, and the choice of the main actress raises a lot of emotions. Will the musical be a success? As if that wasn't enough, someone ditches the school yard every night, which could lead to the closure of the school. Disaster hangs in the balance... Magic animals will help solve the mystery! "The School of Magic Animals. The Mystery of the Schoolyard" is the highly anticipated sequel to the hit based on Margit Auer's books. This original and hilarious story will delight all fans of magic and engaging puzzles!

SPECIAL PRICE LIST

For sensory-friendly screenings, both children and adults, upon presentation of a disability identification, special education needs certificate or diagnosis excerpt, will be able to purchase discounted tickets, while one of the child's or adult's guardians will receive a free pass. Additional regular and concessionary tickets payable according to the regular price list of the cinema.

SPECIALIST PATRONAGE

On the content side, the cinema is supported by Katarzyna Pęczak - a psychologist, psychotherapist and trainer, who has experience in working with both children and adults with autism, as well as with parents of people with disabilities. She is passionate about advocating a positive approach to people with autism and increasing understanding of their specific needs. She runs the website "Autypilot - podróże w świat osób z autyzmem"

RESERVATIONS

You can book a sensory-friendly screening for an organized group at any Cinema City cinemas in Poland.

Reservations can be made no later than 3:00 pm the day before the screening. In the case of no bookings, the screening will be canceled.

Please include the following information in the body of your email: name of the cinema, name of the person booking the seats, age of the audience, the fact that you have a medical certificate.

e.g. "Cinema City Katowice Pkt. 44, reservation for the name of Eugenia Kowalska, two adults and one child with certificate"

It will be possible to pick up tickets at the cinema box office half an hour before the screening. Please bring your certificate/certificate (on disability, on the need for early development support/special education) or diagnosis (also photocopy and copy) to confirm the discount/additional ticket.
